
In urban slums, thousands of children from underprivileged families struggle to learn on empty stomachs. In partnership with Akshay Vidya Foundation that runs multiple centers, Youth Feed Foundation has launched Project Shakti that provides nutritious evening meals and essential health support to give these children to ensure they have energy and focus with holistic development

Project Location
Currently active in Rasoolpura, Addagutta, Musheerabad and Kawadiguda slums of Hyderabad at the Akshay Vidya Centers with over 3,000 children
Approach
The children of classes 1 to 10 enrolled at the learning centres will be given nutritious food on weekdays at 5:30 pm to provide instant energy to be able to attend the classes from 6 to 8 pm. In addition, complementary health activities, they will be educated on positive health and nutrition behaviours for their well-being
